Broken Wings of Destiny

Fate, Destiny... we often use these words interchangeably without any real concern for whether or not they truly mean the same thing. Ah, but we only fool ourselves. Fate is a being most malicious in his actions and purpose. We think "it is our fate" or "we are fated to do this" when confronted with something unpleasant. The tugging of red strings can also be linked to dealings with him.
Then what of the other, Destiny? Destiny is a being more of a kinder nature. We use this word instead when speaking of events with a more positive outcome. "We are destined for greatness", and so on. Sadly enough, the darker of the two has a tendency to push through and work his will over the wants of the other. We call this 'a bad day' or 'being unlucky', but are we really? Or is someone else pulling the strings?
But yet, like many other deities with power, Destiny and Fate are blind to the here and now. Just like Blind Love or Blind Justice, these figures know what is to come, or how to manipulate the flow of circumstances and occurrences to fit their purpose. The latter, Fate's way of work. 
This is only an opinion though, just like everyone else's. For us mortals though, only time will tell. Time, and perhaps whatever these two have in store for us.
