Thoughtful introspection of time and it's methods.
So much effort put in past and future, yet not enough energy for the present. Still time moves on. Inexorable, ceaseless in the march through space. We attempt to capture it, display it on machinery designed to keep pace with the changes, yet even these are inaccurate.
Who are we then? Do we pilot our own lives through a realm of the natural and man-made? Aviators of an era? Time is indefinite and constantly changing, so why shouldn't we be the same? After all, time does not and cannot contain us. We will simply flow through it to soar onward into the infinite spectrum of eternity.

Wow...amazing piece that really drives the point home. I could not agree more; very few seem to focus on the present and putting one foot in front of the other so we can reach the future. Still more focus exclusively on the past, living in what once was and getting stuck more often than actually learning lessons.
I love "Doctor Who" because it uses time travel as a mechanism to both showcase why living in the present is so very important...and how studying the past or hypothesizing about the future can be beneficial if done from an appropriate perspective. ^-^ *nod-nods*
